I am a simple housewife and mommy. Oh yeah, and I'm a business owner, poopy diaper changer, booger wiper, dinner maker, laundry doer, dog poop picker upper, laundry folder, mess cleaner, bed maker...and the list goes on. Ok, I'll stop bragging about all my talents, BUT, after much encouragement and prodding from family and friends I have decided to start sharing my thoughts (scary I know), recipes, DIY projects and housewife stuff on here. I'll keep all the exciting stuff (like the poopy diapers) to myself...
Hmm...a little about myself. I love Jesus. I love my husband Jeff. This April will be 5 years of marriage! I'm excited and proud of what Jeff and I have accomplished, learned and how we have grown in that time. 2 of the most exciting things that we have accomplished is bringing our two babies into the world. Mushy I know, but I love them. Vaelyn is our firstborn, our baby girl. She is 3 years old and spunky, girly, fun and adventurous. She loves shoes, lizards, her daddy and the beach. I'll share more about her later. Our son, Maddox, who is 1 1/2 is so loving, cuddly, hilarious and downright naughty. Sorry, but it's true. And, the newest member of our family is our cute large dog named Kya. We are a family of four Moores, and for now, we like it that way.
My husband is a man of many talents and despite what he tries to make people think, he is a softy. He strongly leads our family with a passion for the Lord and for each other. We are partners in everything we do. Except taking out the trash...that's all him. I dabble in photography for fun, work independently for Mary Kay Cosmetics and I also own a personal chef business, Crave. I would be lost without Jeff's creative direction for all my businesses and his IT computer talents seriously come in handy. He also is more than happy to taste test for my Crave business...for free! I'd say he has a good thing going. He doesn't ever really want to be a model for make up though...oh well. :-)
I love to go out to thrift stores, garage sales and reuse it centers and find all kinds of hidden treasures to sand, paint, recover and find a place for in my home. My poor hubs always gets concerned when he gets the text,
"Oh hunnie! You will never guess what I found at ____!!!"
(with a feeling of dread Jeff responds),
"How large is it and do I need to get a friends help to pick it up?"
Ha! All joking aside, I think my crazy DIY spirit (and all my treasures) are responsible for about 80% of any aches, pains, sprains and breaks that this poor man has experienced. But I digress....I cannot wait to share some of my latest and greatest project redoes.
I can never decide on a paint color I like, or fabric, or pillow combo or furniture set up. I'm always changing and morphing my design. So, be prepared.
So, that's a little bit about me, my likes, dislikes and DIY project
I have so many talented friends and family who I will be featuring on this blog as well. You all will also be lucky enough to have some of them be guest bloggers on here occasionally. So buckle up buttercups, this is happening!! And I'm excited!!
